Sad - meet Happy.

I don't know what makes me want to cry more - the loss of a legend in John Hughes or the fact that almost everyone I told at work last night about this tragedy had no idea who John Hughes was.  Are you kidding me?!  I feel so out of place sometimes with my supposed culture or the generation in which I am surrounded.  Hughes defined so much of my ( Read more... )

Awww, I'm glad my addiction to the 80s made you think of me, lol. But he did have a hand in so many great movies, including Home Alone and Maid In Manhattan which I also adored.

We do need a phone call, huh? Can't find you on LJ so how am I supposed to know what's going on in your world? LOL. We'll have to work that out soon.

I haven't really been feeling like talking about a lot of things on LJ, I know I've sort of been hiding out recently. We'll work on it :)

I am excited by your Torchwood excitement! It's fun to watch people get enthused by new things.

SO sad about John Hughes. He was so young! And so crucial to my adolescence, I can't even tell you.

Yeah, it's been awhile since something new struck my interest, especially of the sci-fi genre, so it's rather interesting. I do wish just a bit more time was devoted to Jack/Ianto outside of subtle puns here and there and what not but I adore all of the characters.

Ugh, I knew you would stand by me with this John Hughes situation. He just meant so much and looking back at how many of the great movies he did is just amazing his legacy truly is.
