My entcounter with a bat

I was in the bathroom and i heard my sister and her boyfriend run up the stairs. I was wondering what all that racket was about then i opened the door and they are like there is a bat in the house and i am like for real and they go yea. It is in the dinning room. So i go downstairs and i see it and get freaked out and then we open the front door.

How it got in the house? i have no idea i am thinking the bat got in when my dad was outside smoking maybe the bat came in when he opened the door or something.
