Sick chick

Poor Katie has never been quite so sick before.  She's got everything wrong with her tummy that could possibly go wrong with it.  Her head hurts.  Her fever goes up and down since she can't keep Tylenol in her for very long.  Gross things are coming out of every part of her body.  She keeps getting pins and needles in her hands and feet -- why?

I hope she feels better soon. If she can't keep anything down, this probably doesn't make a difference, but we've had better results with Children's Motrin than Tylenol for fever.

Thanks, and thanks for the tip -- I'll make sure to get some Motrin to keep on hand. She's doing better now, kept down 1/4 of a pb&j for dinner (Daniel's idea, not mine) and was considerably more chipper at bedtime than she had been in the last 24 hours or so. I think she's out of the woods but I plan to keep her home from school tomorrow unless she bounds out of bed in the morning and insists on going.

Thank goodness, she's feeling much better today and we haven't needed to call the doctor. She was up feeling nauseous in the night but her fever's down and she's able to keep food and liquids down today, so we've kept her home from school to rest and recuperate and expect that she'll go back to school tomorrow. What a relief! Thanks for your concern. :)
