I am not inclined by nature to be a "good soldier." I try not to be a jerk, and I will compromise when I need to, but there comes a point when I just can't do that anymore. I think I have that in common with a lot of people.
I admire Barack Obama personally. I knew going in that I was to his left on a number of issues. And politics is messy blah blah sausage blah blah. But giving up the "public option" at this point is just dumb. It means we, the country, pay more to get less.
So far, this is just based on David Gregory bloviating. I hope that's all it is. Sometimes, one side is just plain wrong- sometimes, partisanship is the right thing. I think this is one of those times.
