If you are up to it, as I recall there is a Japanese Tea Garden near one of the ends of the Golden Gate Bridge. I'm not entirely sure I'm remembering where it is right, but I do remember it was my favorite part of the one time I visited SF.
Amusingly I did know who this is, you were even already friended by me when you made the posts. Any idea who ran the tea garden or what it was called or how you found it? I am carless this week, but will have more mobility in the following weeks. I hope everything is going well for you.
There seems to be a tea garden located in Golden Gate Park, on the east side, near the Califonia Academy of Sciences. Looking at the photos it appears to be the one I remember. I don't know how mobile you are these days, but one map of the park had showed a wheel chair ramp at the main enterence, though as I recall a lot of the paths were gravel. I've been doing well.

As usual I wish you the best. Let me know if there's anything that I can do for you within my (unfortunately) limited capacity.
Take care man!
