It always impresses me that Jiffy Lube let you drive in have your oil changed without an appointment. I remember KT mentioning that once and I was amazed. Out here it's usually a matter of booking a week in advance and paying $95.
It reminds me of a sketch from a local comedy program back in the 80s that summed up mechanics in Australia. An Australian foumula one drive screams in to the pits, and three greasy mechinics stalk out, rubbing their oily hands on rags. "New new tires, eh? Hmmmmm.... Big job, tires... Can you come back Thursday?"
