I had Tiger, my silver tabby put down today. She was 19 years old, had been in failing health these past few months and had obviously experienced some kind of severe episode during the night (probably a stroke). I will miss her greatly.

I got an email ad from Microsoft today that said in part:

Something that I noticed over the last few days. Aside from a short clip from Janet Jackson on the day of Michael's death, the family members and close business colleagues of Michael's don't seem to be all that saddened by his passing. Seems a bit odd to me.

It's Memorial Day in The U.S. and I thought that it would be a good idea to post this link to The Faces of War. It's a collection of photographs chronicling the eforts of the Canadian armed forces during WW II. I think that their experiences typify the struggles of all the allied forces. Leave a comment

We are older.
We are greyer.
