Went to the East River last night (really this morning). It was not too too far; Avenue D and 10th. It was more or less an up-to-par adventure. Mmmm we went to Tompkins Sq. park yesterday: ate huge soft serve ice creams for dinner and went flying around on the tire swing. there's also the tons of stores in the area of 38th/39th street around/between 8th and 9th ave. they get the ends of bolts from designers. I once saw fabric then saw my teacher wear a dress with the same stuff.
you can probably haggle a little, too, but I don't.
There's a lot of stuff up there. It's daunting to hit all the stores.

There was a fair on 4th ave on Saturday (?) that had bolts of fabric, and I think it's going to be on 5th this saturday
