Eddie Van Halen’s Innovative Guitar Technique was Invented in 1721, not 1978

Today my Counterpoint 2 teacher played us Bach’s “Brandenburg Concerto No. 5 in D major.” At the end of the first movement there’s this harpsichord solo that sounds amazingly like Van Halen’s “Eruption.” I always knew a lot of shred metal was based off of classical pieces but this was more like a bad copy.
