Its funny to read all these people freaking out about touchscreen voting machines not selecting the right person. Touchscreen monitors are some of the shittiest pieces of equipment ever. They either detect pressure or heat and they lose "calibration" all the time where you press one place and the system thinks you're 2 inches or even more off. ( Read more... )

the ones they use at plaza midwood have a print-out receipt that prints everytime you choose something and is displayed so you can see whether or not it chose the right candidate or not and gives you a choice to go back and edit any choices in the end, and prints a FINAL ballot receipt out as well.

I imagine that people will find it more of a pain in the ass than anything. Touching those screens is one thing, moving your finger over them trying to drag something around in mind numbing. Its a gimmick, holograms is where its at.
