Time to jump on the BUSHwagon

I love all my smart friends! I love that everyone our age has gotten so wrapped up in this election. So of course I'm not keeping my mouth shut either (as if I could ( Read more... )

I read this article yesterday in the Wall Street journal you would probably find very interesting... I'll try to find a link.

But anyway, basically, the "lies" that Bush is accused of telling in relation to WMD in Iraq is fed from a major screwup on the CIA's part. The intriguing thing is, before thai war even started, when it was debatable whether to go in, John Kerry, John Edwards, and the Clintons all stood behind what CIA intelligence said in relation to WMD. Don't believe it? Look it up.

So if Bush is a liar, so is Kerry.

Hey. I'd really like to read that article. And in addition to that comment: I read an article where Kerry said he would work hard to appoint a "National Intelligence" person to be in charge of information. So, he has to know that Bush did what he could with the information he was given.

I do not dispute that it is not entirely the president's fault for the bad intelligence about weapons in Iraq. I am concerned that Bush started talks in Washington about going into Iraq the day after 9/11 when 9/11 had not and still has not been connected to Iraq. -Celestia

i agree with all of the above.

i wish more people were less ignorant.

they go and vote or rally for a canidate trusting everything that flashes up on the tv or theatre screen as the truth.

unfortunately, a majority of americans do that.

my boss at work is a political guy, he says this alot:
"it is un-patriotic to have a political oppinion if you havent researched what you are for, and what you are against."

i cant vote, but kudos to jess for being a smart person.

Another thing that I forgot to say is that you have to be wary of all media. Even CNN and those gurus swing one way or another politically and they can easily warp the information. I just don't want everyone to take things for face value.

I love you, Nick. and your boss.

it won't let me open that website, just so you know

also, the draft information i have read, and this is just me personally, has been about the numbers of troops we are using and the decrease in enrollment, also about not letting people out of their contracts and calling up massive numbers of reservists...the information says that we will run out of troops at the rate we are going and that Bush sees no need to lower the numbers or anything so if we continue with our committments a draft would be necessary

Hey... yeah that's not the one I was referring to. The bill I'm talking about is the proposed Draft that will force everyone to serve in the military regardless of sex for at least one term.
