Hey I'm just kind of curious to see where everyone stands. So even if you can't vote put up a post and say who you would vote for AS OF NOW and why. It's open to everyone. Have fun!
I'd vote for JOHN-JOHNmajikcasperJuly 15 2004, 18:48:50 UTC
i would vote for JOHN-JOHN if i could vote because we need someone that will put himself on the line for the people he is responsible for...Kerry killed a man with his bare hands to protect his team in Vietnam; that gets major respect from me. and Bush is hiding behind everyone but himself for way to much stuff right now

I'll look for an article but i saw the story on 60 Minutes (i believe it was that one; might have been one of the other shows like that) that talked to his family and him and explained how he got his medal in 'Nam (that was the incident i was speaking of). His own children never even heard that story until recently because he couldn't bring himself to speak of it...but its been a driving force in his life.
upon searching for an article for you i found some discrepancies in the "official" record of what i was speaking of and what they broadcast on the interview. http://www.johnkerry.com/about/military_records.html go there and read about his Silver Star and it tells the story...he led a landing party instead of going in alone as i assumed from what i heard on TV...but the main story is the same. his Bronze Star is a story to note as well and can be seen on the same page.

I will be voting for the Kerry/Edwards ticket this fall. Kerry and Edwards are both deeply religious men who I believe can run our country in a more responsible way than Bush has shown he has. Bush's rationale for the war and later excuse-making and blame-shifting concerning Iraq is only one reason for my vote. Education and economic plans are not being looked at as closely as they should be because of the overriding issue of the war but I agree with Kerry's ideas on these issues as well. -Celestia
How can they be deeply religious when neither will help pass legislation that would ban abortion or gay marriage. Also please explain how Bush has run our country irresponsible.
I will be voting for Bush because I agree with his religious convictions. I believe that his economic plan (especially his tax cuts) are the best for our counrty, as proven by the way our economy is improving. I also believe that the decision to go into Iraq was a good one whether we every find the WMD's.
People can be deeply religious and not be disillusioned enough to believe that their personal religious beliefs should influence the freedom of an entire nation.
"But there's a new budget reality that even some conservative economists can't ignore. A massive and growing federal budget deficit now looks increasingly hard to tame without raising more government revenue. That's another word for tax hike." -Christian Science Monitor
Damn, someone has misinformed the Christian Science Monitor. I mean, how could they not know that all of Bush's tax cuts are improving the economy?
I trust that their name will be enough for you to trust them as a reliable source.
even if we did need to go to iraq, to put down this horrible dictator, (there are more, and probably worse, they just aren't sitting on oil) we were lied to.
that was the problem that so many people had with Clinton, that he lied to the country, and he just had an affair. This guy is killing the youth of america.
