Several months ago I submitted a story to an anthology called Holy Horrors, edited by T.M. Wright and Matt Cardin.  The anthology was designed around the idea of collecting horror tales with a religious theme, one that certainly appealed to me given the usual content of my writing ( Read more... )

At least you guys got an invite - I had to submit out of the blue. Of course, I'm not known for my short story work.

I have to say this is the first time I've ever had something like this said about one of my stories and I quote...

"I’m especially impressed with the way it makes good use, non-preachy use, emotionally and artistically viable use of the dispensationalist, millennarian, eschatological theology of modern-day evangelicalism and fundamentalism."

So take that!

Well, my invitation consisted of seeing Matt Cardin at World Fantasy in Austin and him telling me he'd love to see something from me for the antho. Not a big deal, I'm just sorry I couldn't think of anything in time.
