This is perfection! I'm so enjoying these stories that fill in the blanks left in last week's episode. It's great that Ben decides to continue with his film in your story...he should know that it takes years to create a full-length movie, so three weeks is nothing compared to that!

I love stop motion animation as well. I wonder if Ben would like Corpse Bride, too? :) (One of my faves!)

Thanks! I'm sure he'd love Corpse Bride. :)

Plus, I was hoping that you'd make a little clay Champion to go with your clay Ben. He could be the Gromit to your Wallace.

Ha ha, Leslie has the best ideas. Maybe it's because my husband loves Nick Park so much, Ben as a rabid claymation fan makes so much sense to me. This was so cute and funny and nerd-tastic in the best way!

Thanks. I thought his little clay dude was so cute! I love the idea of him being into claymation.

Wallace and Gromit! You know, Leslie would LOVE the contraption that makes breakfast.

Now I'm sad that we'll never get to see more of "Requiem for a Tuesday."

Yes--but only if it could make waffles (other than Eggo).

Me too!

As a fellow animation nerd, I of course love this. And I wonder what Leslie would think of some of the really weird stop-motion/claymation stuff, like Jan Svankmejer. That might be a bit much...

Thanks :)

I'm less of an animation nerd than a nerd-of-all-trades. I've dipped my toes into many nerdy waters, but rarely fully immerse myself. (Except comic books. I'm just NOT a comic books person.)

Aww, I really love this. I do feel like Chris is super over-exaggerating how ~depressed~ Ben was, because I feel like he could so easily have a backstory for the claymation like this one. And doing a weird hobby doesn't make you depressed. And I like that Leslie would be encouraging.

Thanks. I agree that Chris overstated Ben's depression (I think he simply wasn't seeing the Ben he expected to see, and decided to play hero/therapist.)

Weird hobbies are cool! (says the woman who spends way too much time writing/reading fanfic)
