My early spring flowers

I've promised garden pictures this year, and here are the first.

Here are two views of the garden I put in my parking strip--the land between the sidewalk and the street. A few years ago I killed and tilled under the grass in that part of my lot and put in my "rose garden," which is actually a mix of spring bulbs, roses, irises, and daylilies. As

What a great idea to do something other than grass between the sidewalk and the road. I assume it needs less watering, and hopefully less work overall once the flowers are established.

Thanks! I do have to do weeding, but no mowing, so it kind of balances out.

So pretty and cheerful! I love this time of year, and what a good idea to bring colour to the space between road and sidewalk. I'm impressed by the rhubarb; I keep thinking we should do fruit and veg in pots and see how it goes.
