This was so worth the wait! So many things I loved, but a couple things stuck out to me. One was Ben's speech about taking risks, because he's so right about the importance of giving someone information and letting them make their own decision, and it also sets up a nice parallel to canon. And the other was the speech he gave to Ron about love and friendship--that was a really wonderful description of his relationship with Leslie, even if he doesn't quite know that yet. I also really appreciated how sympathetic you ended up making Chris--I'd really grown to dislike him in this story, but I hadn't fully considered his side of things, and this chapter helped a lot.

And that ending! Ouch. I just feel so bad for them. But you've created such thoughtful ways to keep them apart, so I don't even mind. The tension is excellent.

I think this might be my favorite chapter of this so far - just the weaving of the three relationships and all the tension, and Ben and Leslie are just breaking my heart. So good.

I'm a lurker in this fandom but I had to tell you -- I've read this from start to finish every time you post a new chapter and wow. I never thought I'd enjoy such a far out AU, but I'm sitting here crying and marveling at how great this is. It's about as different from the show as one can get and yet everything about the characters is pitch-perfect. It's very easy to imagine Ben and Leslie making the choices they have, the confusion and mixed/hurt feelings... Thank you very much for writing.

This story is incredible! The tension is crazy, but SO REALISTIC, and heart-breaking and beautiful.

I seriously can't wait to see what happens next.

Do your Everson research, Leslie!!!
