Yay, they finally slept together! Poor Chris, though. He's trying so hard to do everything by-the-book, and Ben is really not making things easy on him. Their dynamic is working really well here.

Leslie's going to figure out the cover story pretty soon, right? I honestly thought she was going to announce she'd figured everything out when she said she'd been doing research.

This is so excellent. Love the tension between Ben and Chris. It's gotta hurt to see how Ben's trusting Leslie/lying to Chris when he's literally the only person Chris has to trust right now. And on some level I can't help but wonder if he resents Ben for getting a girl when he had to give up his fiancee for this life-altering testimony they're going to give.

And then Ben and Leslie! Sleeping together, and he's going to leave her and try to distance himself from her so soon. Heartbreaking.

I'm on the edge of my seat here.

The Ben/Chris dynamic is one of the things I'm enjoying the most about writing this fic, so it makes me happy to get comments like yours.
