Didn't actually buy MvC3 - Currently, there is no spectator mode in online play. This is a total deal break as I chiefly would be buying it to play with my Canadian friends and the prospect of sitting in a dully digital lobby while my friends duke it out for minutes makes me shudder. It's tough enough to wait for your turn to play while watching others play.

This is particularly sad considering SF4 and SF4c both have the MP components down to a science -They couldn't just use that code??

It's supposed to have a proper online play mode sometime in March, which is when I'll think about it. But I won't think that hard, because I'll be playing DoW2:R or Dragon Age: 2.

As for your list of games of note, my fav gold box game was by far and away Curse of the Azure bonds - Which had a massive amount of hidden content you could find just by wandering around (not to mention the underdark that went on forever/Got more lethal as it did.)

Its also on PSN, and since Matt has a PS3, we've done some multiplayer games. However, the "updated" combat graphics aren't as good as the old 16 bit ones, though I acknowledge that may be nostalgia talking.
