Oh my! Oh my! Lookit what I got today at the livestock auction. I went down there to look for cheap rabbit cages today, and lookit what I came home with!

Hes a jr. And he has alot of personality. Hes not feeling good though because it was pretty cold there today. Hes got a minor upper respiratory infection. But I am hitting him up with three different meds for it. :)I hope arba recognizes them this year. Theyve got a good chance of getting recognized because Glen carr(our ex president)raises them, and is doing the presentation.

When I saw them for the first time in ohio last spring, I must say I was in love. they are very unique, and shouldn't have trouble being established as a breed. What i do like about this non-established breed is that they aren't as popular as lion heads. They really aren't the 'fab' breed for rabbits like some of the other non rec breeds are.

I know one thing. I'm hooked. And Im gonna have one hell of a time getting my hands on some stock to match him. :)

Which is why I was very surprised to find a thriantra at an auction. But he couldve been taken there because of the slight illness too. And I also think he might have a minor coccidia infection. He's not interested in drinking water or eating pellets on his own. BUt hes healthy enough where he shouldn't have much trouble bouncing back.
