Intermission

I've been feeling bogged down and not as productive as I'd like to be lately, so I decided to take the night off and go to Houston this evening to attend the HMC monthly meeting (which I'm guessing must have been rescheduled since no one seemed to be there?) and watch the new X-Men movie with the Volvo crew. It was nice to see those guys again! ( Read more... )

2) Did you stay for the scene after the credits with Deadpool? I missed it but I know that Ryan really wants to do an independent Deadpool movie. I thought it was pretty good. X2 is still the best of the series.

4) Talk to the ladies! Nothing like...hey baby...but hey cool bike or something and start a conversation.

2) We stayed for the Stryker scene, but not for the post-credits scene. (It was almost 2am already and the theater was still incredibly packed but people were starting to move, and one guy had to go to a wedding, two kids had SATs to take, and I still had to drive back home.) They wanted to try and beat the crowd out, which was mostly fine with me. Truth be told, I'm probably not interested in any "Deadpool as weapon 11" sequels anyway. I think they did a great job of casting Reynolds as Deadpool and then ruined their choice by merging Deadpool's character with all the "weapon 11" crap.

4) ::sigh:: I know, I need to do something about my social anxieties. As it is currently I have difficulty making new friends unless it is through a mutual friend or through some deep common interest (as opposed to a common passing interest). It's hard to overcome your natural impulses (or inhibitions, in my case) sometimes though.

2) Yeah the Cyclops eyes and blades were a bit much. I think he looked awesome but would've been better with just his swords he already had.

4) I know it's easier said then done. But what is the worst that can happen? They don't talk to you? Then they aren't worth knowing anyways. Even if you aren't confident in yourself, pretend to get the ball rolling.

Worst that can happen is that the large group of biker dudes hanging out with her kick my ass. Or maybe that she kicks my ass in front of them, and they take pics/vids and it ends up on youtube and I become a reluctant infamous internet celeb.

Granted though, that's probably a highly unlikely worst-case scenario.
