I know no one can make a decision for me, I need to do it and it's starting to drive me crazy. I have an opportunity to move to a new place. Thing is: I love my current one. As I said my friend lives in Huys Gibraltar - when I first visited her I was in awe of the place. Spacious, bright, lifts big enough to fit a bike without having to 'hold it up on one wheel'.. Sure it's not the exact centre but then - I kinda liked this area, it was nice for walks, there were still restaurants/cafe nearby, something I can only dream of here where I live in Warsaw.... ahhh I really like Amsterdam :)
I do agree that old Amsterdam architecture is great and has its charm, but I think I'd go for comfort instead myself.... but yeah, I'm lazy, I'd hate to carry stuff up on the narrow flight of stairs ;-)
I'm curious what you'll decide.

I really like the new place. But I have no idea how emotionally attached you are to your current area. And I also don't your feelings about the possible new neighbors or neighbors you would be leaving behind. But all in all it seems like a nice place.
I have no idea. I wish I could be there to help you move or just to drink hot chocolate (or wine) with you if you didn't, to help u relax from work stress.
