I wrote this because I have always think that Roy is an awesome character and that he and Lisa will make a wonderful couple if it weren't for Claudia. In order for this fic to work Roy never died in the episode “Farwell Big Brother”

Lol... That lunch must have been wierd indeed.

The first part of this chapter had a lot of unresolved emotional issues and tension in it. I could feel the uncertainty and discomfort of the characters. Jean and Vince were a nice surprise. Roy's reaction to them was unexpected and, at the same time, it did make sense! Wierd, I know. But when you add the presence of his would-have-been-in-laws to his feelings about children, Claudia's desires and Dana's party, a reaction like his is understandable. He's very "human" to put it simply. Roy took the first step here, going to Lisa's house and she did take care of him. But it felt more maternal than romantic on her part. I guess it is as it should be. I wonder who will fall first!

that lunch must have been totally weird, I wanted to write it but then I changed my mind :P
Glad to hear that Roy appears human to you that's one of my golds.
Now about Lisa being more maternal than romantic to Roy, that's not what I intended to do with that... I think I will have to pay more attention to that.
This is why I love reviews so much, because sometimes I get so involve in what I'm writing, like the whole picture, that I miss little details like this one.
Can I ask what would you change?

Hmmmm, Jo, it works fine. I don't think to need to change anything. But I'll tell you why I felt that way. It's like this, for example, when you wrote:"...the last thing he was aware of was her warm breath against his neck saying his name." The way you described this gave it a romantic, very subtly sensual feel on Roy' part

I totally see what you mean. and it makes perfect sense.
But don't worry Lisa will not remain immune to Roy's manly charms for too long.

Great chapter! Making Roy go through something difficult instead of Lisa was an interesting change. It humanizes Roy and it's nice to see Lisa being happy. You're making their relationship grow. At the end it feels like they are beginning to see each other in a different way. I can't wait to see what happens next.

I'm glad you liked the idea of Roy dealing with something emotional this time, I thought I had to make him go through a difficult time and made him remember Claudia after all she was very important for him.
I'm a little sad to inform you that Lisa's happiness wont last too long though, but it wont be too hard ... I think :S
