I have watched plenty of TV series in my life and it wasn't until "The XFiles" that I even cared to notice who was directing these beautiful episodes that tugged at my heart and opened my eyes to such exquisite emotions from the characters and their actors who portrayed them.

i shall forever miss him. as i've said to a couple of people, i was so hoping to have the opportunity to meet him either in vancouver or LA to tell him how much i loved his work. now i wish i would've sent him a card - at least that way he knew it (i'm sure he heard it enough from others anyway). this is one thing i will always regret. see? one more reason to seize the moment.
i will never look at another staples' "easy button" without thinking of kim, for he had one on his desk.

You really said it beautifully.
I haven't yet watched X-Files--but I know every time I saw Kim's name on the credits of SPN as the director I just sat up straighter with excitement for that episode.
I swear I stared for a full minute at the first post I saw telling us about Kim's passing. My brain just would not accept what it was reading.
