Anyone know how to remove people from your friends list?

I mean like communities I am no longer a member off that still show on your main list and take up loads of room.

Yep, go to your user info page or the home page and then go to the drop down menu titled friends and click add/remove friends. Then uncheck all those that you don't want on your flist then hit save. I don't think it deletes you from the comm but it won't appear on your flist anymore.

I haven't managed to figure how to do that either. I have some communities/people who I defriended but they didnt, so they are still up there.

It's very annoying. :(

Oh wait! I think I figured it out! When you delete yourself from a community, always do it by "leave this community" and then LJ will ask you if you want it removed from your friends list! As for individual LJs, I have no idea.

The only way I know to get the individuals off is to block them. You still show up on their user info pages but they dont show up on yours anymore.

Its kinda a sucky way to go about it but the only one I know of other than directly contacting the person and asking them to defriend you. Which also sometimes works, even though you risk dealing with them getting all uppity over it.

In terms of communities, go to the community journal page and click on the "leave this community" at the top of the screen. On the next screen make sure it's checked to remove them from your friends list as well.

For individuals, if you hover your mouse over their icon, it gives you the opportunity defriend them and to ban them.

If you set your default to "friends only" for your posts, they cannot see your posts unless you friend them, even if they friend you.

Of course, if you're talking about me, I hang on like a bad penny and you will never get rid of me! Bwahahahaha!

It has nothing to do with seeing posts. It that the add/remove friends page freezes my comp cos theres too many on it and half are obsolete and have been for ages.

I do not want to go to friends only because of vids.

I would not not be friends with you. but I have to warn you, I cannot stand this twitter shit. it is totally impersonal and I scroll past it as half makes no sense. so those who only seem to post with that will i would suspect start getting defriended on lj.

Although if and when we move i wont be putting net on anyway lol

Yeah, I know. My cousins says he doesn't like the Twitter feed either. I try to make sure if I'm responding to someone else's tweet to retweet what they said, and I'm trying to remember to post to LJ directly as well. Still reading LJ and still posting some. Need to do more.

No netz? *eyes wide open*

Still having housing issues? You said before there was an issue with the owner or payment or something, IIRC.

I have posted about the house problems.

I will not reply to a twitter post. as i said in my book it's rather igonrant posting that way. JMHO.

Nope if we are lucky enough to move I wont have net put in. Now bsg has gone I really have no need for it.

You can ban them so they vanish from your friend's list but you've possibly already done that.

You could hold a loaded gun to their heads and make them do it although it could involve thousands in travel costs and time in prison. ;0D
