lonely already

My wife is going out of town, leaving me- nay, abandoning me! - for four or five days.
Which means that I get time alone to try to work out this crazy writer's block that's been plaguing me. It's stupid: I can only write angst when my romance is going fabulously, and can only write good romance when I'm lonely or things are a bit rocky or stressful ( Read more... )

Makes sense to me. You don't feel secure enough to write angst when you're feeling down yourself (and would probably just make yourself feel worse), and fluff is less interesting when you aren't wishing for it.

Hmmmm. I guess that does make sense. It's just weird to me that when I'm all lovey-dovey with my SO I can write the most depressing stuff. *shrug*
