I'm contemplating moving totally to Dreamwidth.   I'd like some feedback from people on this. Anyone who doesn't have a DW account can still subscribe to my DW journal  through OPenID.   And I've got invite codes if anybody wants one.

I fully support this move and have contemplated doing the same. I don't even post, but LJ's basically on probation with me. After their poorly-thought-out "we've enabled cross-posting to Facebook, allowing it to bypass your privacy settings" in August (which of course was just one more in a string of glaring fuck-ups from LJ and its motley series of owners), I decided that one more big screw-up (or open war on legal but controversial content, like the "strikethrough of '07") and I'm done. They haven't crossed that line so far...

I have a number of friends who I keep in touch with only through LJ, which is the only reason I haven't long since deleted my account here. One more blatant, anti-user fuck-up, and I'll have something to point to when I say "I'm outta here, and if you don't care enough about keeping in touch with me to open a DW account and enable cross-posting, then you clearly don't care a whole lot".

I suspect that was a whole lot more answer than you were actually looking for, but anyway yes! I'm for it!

And I actually got a response. Thanks for answering. It was posts that I saw from you and/or Ysa that made me check out DW in the first place. Still thinking about it. There are some Sims 2 journals here, I need to find time to see if they're also on DW or not.
