Room 332 - Friday Morning

Joan's break week had been pretty quiet though she was a bit concerned by the fact that Liir was still a cat. Oh, he was a well behaved cat, but it had been a week and a half.

Either way, they were chilling on her bed and Joan was reading a magazine. She hadn't decided if she was going to hit up the welcome picnic tomorrow or not.

Penelope, nose buried in her book (just like it has been all week), stole occassional glances at Joan and Liir!cat.

She had yet to discuss with her roomie what had happened last Saturday night. Maybe the topic would never come up.

The glances did not go unnoticed. Nor did the fact that Penelope was very obviously keeping something from her.

"Penelope? Everything okay?" she finally asked.

"Hm?" she murmured, looking up. "Yes. Oh yes, everything is just fine."

She might look a little shifty.

"Uh huh," Joan said, putting her magazine aside. "Why don't I believe you?"

Jess was all packed up, but he had a few things left to do before he finally headed out, like making sure to say goodbye to people like Joan, and hoping things wouldn't still be awkward. He knocked on the door, hoping she was inside.

Joan opened the door holding a grey kitty with very green eyes. "Jess! Hey," come on in."

"Hey," Jess said, smiling at the kitten as he came in. "New pet?"

"I really hope not," Joan said. "It's Liir. He's been like this for a week and a half."
