Read the rules and damn, it seems hard! :D But I'm kinda tempted to give a go some day.

Poor Ralph - cold, lonely, bored and poor... Good thing the burglar decides to leave instead of stealing his bathtub though!

This was really fun to read, and I'm looking forward to more. Ralph is a total cutie BTW! :)

Hi Skoogy!

Yes it's very hard. Callista was a wiz at the apocalypse challenge, and this reflects that I think.

Glad you like him. :D I just tweaked one of the facial templates in CAS and tossed on some dirt and freckles. :P

Lol! Hey, that burglar thing happened to me too! But my Gypsy Matchmaker is glitched in my hood? game? (haven't checked to see which it is. When I call her, she appears, then promptly disappears in a puff of blue...) so I thought it might be related. Now I feel better about it, but don't think it would be fair to count it as a burglary in my BaCC.

So, Ralph survived winter without a tent. Wow, didn't think it was possible with no shelter whatsoever. I guess the long hours at work in winter could be considered a blessing...

I guess theoretically a toilet really isn't necessary as long as they have something to raise their hygiene, unless they have a fear of it.

Good luck, and I'm glad you're posting this! :)

Do you have the visitor controller? After I downloaded it my gypsy did the exact same thing and I got told the visitor controller has it set to ban her and a few others, so you need to put it out and change it to allow.

He only ever got down to turning blue, Work saved him.

I couldn't see with 3 items how he could have a toilet. I can never remember to switch things around at 12am. Figured when he wet himself he could jump in the tub. So far it's only been the once. If I had made him sloppy he would have used the bush. I've seen a sloppy male sim do that before. Lucky for him he goes at work.

It's good there are two of us doing this. We can share tips. :D

Edit: What do you think of my rule tweak, fair? I think the harder skilling mod really makes up for any advantage there.

Regarding the gypsy, I'll check out the visitor controller. I was planning to look into it after playing out week four, but now I may not have to. Thanks!!

The rule tweak seems a fair trade for your handicaps. I can't imagine playing it with those! I placed a wall to put the sink and toilet, but I'm rather liking the idea of skipping the toilet and having a bathtub instead for more realism.

I was thinking of tweaking the rules to allow two or even three buy-mode items per adult Sim on the lot and one for kids, mainly because it's getting tiresome going in and out of inventory so much.

I hope that was what it was, it was amusing to see. Might check the visitor controller again.

It's a Pescado mod: I wouldn't be surprised if it was set to prevent burglars as well as the Gypsy and probably AL group walkbys. (Though, it doesn't prevent hobby lot leaders, but I think that's because they're summoned or nobody complained to Pescado about them.)

What Pescado mod? I have AL group walkbys, Christy was one of them. The hobby lot people I already have stopped with another mod.

Wow, you're brave starting in winter! But it looks like it's going well so far, and yay for him still being alive. :D

The rule tweak seems fair too, it'll be pretty hard for you when there are kids there too with the harder skills!

Knowledge is a good idea too, with the wolves to raise his wants, and at least he has a pond for getting badges. :)

My theory was the winter would be mild if I started there first. I just don't know if it was mild, or if it was just the long hours on the job keeping him from freezing.

I've been tossing up if I should now change the seasons to fall and spring, which would be easier both temperature and skill wise or tough it out. The rules say we only have to face one summer and one winter, but changing seasons seems a bit cheatery to me.

Thanks for commenting Amy. :D
