From what I remember, he wanted to make the ultimate Sonic movie. Which involved Sonic 1 and a few other games, Metal Sonic, and then out of nowhere Sally was going to appear to like help out or something.

It was like a fanfic made in Hell, so someone thinking that that was a good idea to make a movie with was laughable.
