Commander,
So far as I have noticed, it is entirely humanoids affected, mostly humans. As there has been no public outcry, I am assuming it is staying confined to our quarter. It seems to be affecting all ages, as well as sexes. I've managed to stay uncontaminated despite being propositioned, so it is unlikely to be airborne such as pollen. Possible oral or tactile vector? Unlikely to be auditory or visual, otherwise it would be even more widespread.

Ensign,
Have the authorities been notified about these symptoms or incidents? Regardless, I shall contact the forensics department of the Academy to request some technical resources. Their offices would be more reasonable to use than our own.
Continue to remain unaffected, but also continue your observations.

[otr: It seems so. Her disappearance has been distressing.]

Commander,
I am unsure if they have been, however I will contact them to determine the report status. Would you like me to stop by the clinic to acquire emergency medical provisions for if we have problems during our sample acquisitions?
I will attempt to comply with your orders, and if not, I will attempt to acquire samples from myself before I succumb.
Ensign McCoy
[otr: That is distressing, I will keep any eye on her. Perhaps you might equip her with a chip once she is reacquired?]

Assuming that the involved are humans or non-Vulcan-humanoids, the cause is likely external.
Do the affected have any common characteristics such as current location or age?
Commander Spock
[Off the record: have you seen Yontaya?]
