Star Trek XI meant so much for me. It mean brushing of my 17 year long ST fandom obsession (I found a notebook from 1992 where I write about seeing The search for Spock and shipping Data/Tasha!!)
Also, it's a positive, uplifting fandom which is much needed after superbleak!Torchwood.
Did you see Inglourious Basterds? I saw it last night but don't get the slashy hype.
