The hole thing reminds me of the DS9 Wormhole with spidery tentacles. This gives me very weird ideas. Not that I would ever write such a thing.
No, of course not ;)
I love Ben Cross's Sarek probably more than any other. The chemistry he has with Jacob!Spock and Zach!Spock is just wonderful.
Your comments are pretty much what runs through my head every time I watch it. Which I've done now about, what, eight or nine times? I just see more in it every time. Last time I was most struck by how perfect the casting of Jacob was as Zach's younger self. When he re-materialises on the transporter pad without Amanda, he just looks SO much like Jacob!Spock. Perfectly childlike.
I'm really glad you enjoyed it. Welcome to the world of squee! :D
>>I need to learn bald captain's name, he rocks even in one scene. Character, not actor. Both really would be nice :)<<
Ask and you shall receive - Faran Tahir playing Capt. (no first name given) Robau. I was all asquee that they cast a guy best known for playing chief Middle Eastern terrorist in a blockbuster as a starship captain. I love Trek!
>>*cries a bit* I don't care how cliche it is. His saying "I love you" and... then. Argh. That will always get me.
This looked awfully like a first child, but as I remember it's never confirmed that Jim has a brother in the movie. Still...<<
I did pretty much think 'dear Jim, you will have a heck of a lot to live up to'. Older brother is confirmed in the novelisation, I think.
>>LOL - Jim, keep an eye out (though don't I remember... no, I think it was Scotty did that in a movie, or it might've been Kirk but I'm nearly sure it was Scotty - he said "I know this ship like the back of my hand", and promptly hit his head like Jim did there.... )
May i just say, i ADORE your commentary. And agree with pretty much ALL of it. ::grin::
George's death had me bawling like a baby. ::sniffle:: and yeah, Chemistry Like You Wouldn't BELIEVE!
Wonder who the old gray-haired Vulcan is (actor, not character). He looks slightly familiar. If you mean the primary one that Spock argues with re: Vulcan Science Academy. It's William Morgan Sheppard. He played Blank Reg in Max Headroom (and he's been in a LOT of other things from Bab5 to Voyager to voice overs for a lot of various cartoons). I LOVE him
