Since I'm switching temp jobs this week, UPS had a little going-away party for me on Friday. I was really quite touched and surprised, since most places don't normally do that sort of thing for temps. They gave me a gift certificate to Barnes & Noble as a thank you, and
last night I ordered:
- The Position (Meg Wolitzer)
- A Knot in the Grain and Other Stories, Sunshine, The Outlaws of Sherwood and The Door in the Hedge (all Robin McKinley, and you know I could swear I owned Sunshine at some point but can't find it)
- In America (Susan Sontag)
- Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay (Michael Chabon)
- Sister Carrie (Theodore Dreiser)
- The Voyage of the Narwhal (Andrea Barrett)
- Bad Dirt: Wyoming Stories 2 (Annie Proulx)
- Collected Stories (I don't remember and B&N only sends titles on their receipt)
- Wakefield (Andrei Codrescu)
- Demonology (Rick Moody)
- The Ghost Brigades (John Scalzi)
- Oryx and Crake (Margaret Atwood)
- Four Ways to Forgiveness (Ursula Le Guin)
- The Radiation Sonnets (Jane Yolan)
- Muriel Rukeyser: Selected Poems
- Olivia Joules and the Overactive Imagination (Helen Fielding)
I'm really excited to be getting all of these books, which should arrive this week.
