Harry Potter.
So.. I've just finished. It was a little earlier than planned, but I was worried about finding out the ending before I read it, and it was just so good! And then I didn't want to have to carry it to work with me tomorrow either, or read the ending (and cry) on the bus. Now I have to wait for Penny to read her chapter a day. Gahhh!
- A lot of the deaths were almost disposable characters, or their deaths were inevitable. Except maybe Fred. Having both Lupin & Tonks die together was kind of obvious and since Lupin was the last of the Marauders. But then Fred died, and not George. There were no really huge deaths, which surprised me. The trio survived. Come to think of it, Fred dying was pretty huge. I'm quite sad about it.
- It could be that I'm just so used to deaths in Harry Potter Books now. And they were dropping like flies in this one.
- I was getting very depressed when I thought Harry was going to have to die, as did he. Especially since as soon as he became a Godfather I was convinced he had to survive.
- I was also very relieved when they finally got to Hogwarts and were reunited with the DA. Tears of joy!
- So Snape wasn't so evil after all. Sad he died really.
- Sirius was back, but not quite back. But still a chance for Gary Oldman to make an appearance in the film though.
- Neville was so brave!
- Such a cheesy Epilogue. Wonder what job Harry does, or if he ever got his NEWTs.
I think I was crying on and off all the way through. But thoroughly enjoyed the book.
