Hi. I followed you here from Shaysdays, where I saw that you followed her from quakers, where I'd also been....
I'm a feminist but not a (regular anyway) mom, I work as an editor in the field of women's studies, and I love cats... I'm not officially a Friend (I'm a UU) but have Quaker "leanings". Your politics and concerns resonate with me... I'm a writer "on the side."

You certainly may, although I am not a frequent lj updater--hope to get to do that more. I looked back over some of your recent entries and see you're dealing with the aging-parent thing too...it's hard, isn't it? Mine (late 70s) have not had any major physical surprises recently (just ongoing conditions for which they need meds and monitoring) but their big thing is preparing for a move into a retirement community when the right space opens up there. My mom is freaking out about all the related concerns (moving, getting rid of stuff) and I have somehow become her sounding board. Ack!
And orange kitties, huh? I love them...wish I had one now, though I love my current kitties' hues too, of course!
