Monday, Monday...How I hate this day....
The weekend, while short, was ok. A bit boring, except for the highlight of watching 3 episodes of 'Dexter'. Quite the disturbed show. But really, really good.
Other than that, Friday night I spent basically waiting around. Long story. Anyway, I watched 'The Lake House' (bleh) and went to bed early. Slept in on Saturday, lounged around, bought some art supplies, watched a few taped TV shows, cracked my head on the cement-filled bathroom wall (ow) and went to bed. Sunday, much of the same.
I'd really like to take a day off before starting in my new permanent job. Seeing as how I'll be the only web person in the ministry, I don't exactly see how I'll be able to take time off anytime soon. Maybe in 6 or 7 months. So, I'd like to take this Friday. It's a long weekend, and the following Friday is my last day, so this is pretty much it. But no, J is working the 8-4 shoft this week, and wants to leave an hour early this Friday, so I'm stuck to stick around until 5, which means I can't take the day off. Nice, eh? She's taking a week off at the end of November and a week at Christmas. What's 2 hours? I've covered for her so many goddamn times... I may call in sick. She's done that to me a number of times on my 8-4 week. I show up at 8 and have to stay an extra hour because she drank too much the night before.
People suck.
My coffee tastes burned. I hate that.
Every Monday we have a meeting where we sit with this scary IT woman to discuss issues. My boss usually goes. Lately, I've been going along. Today, she left me to go alone. She showed up late and when I ran into her later, she said, "I just couldn't do it this morning." Well you know what? I didn't want to go either, but I did. She had to give some updates to things, and since she wasn't there, they all looked at me to give the update. I had no idea. She never told me a thing. Sure made me look like an idiot.
*grumble grumble*
Better get back to work. Yippee. Hope the day gets better as it goes on.
