The Big Read reckons that the average adult has only read 6 of the top 100 books.

List the books into the categories below as are correct for you then reprint this list in your own LJ so we can try and track down these people who've only read 6 and force books upon them...

I think both of those fall into the "never really considered it but wouldn't turn down reading it" category, rather than the "no way in hell" category (though this is pretty much reserved for Tolkein). Dune has just never appealed, maybe because I know so many people who rave about it. They were incredulous when I said I've never read or seen it. It sort of put me off.

You know I'll read anything (except Tolkein) so, yes I'll borrow them when I finish the ones you leant me last week.

I have. Twice. I absolutely vehemntly hated and detested his writing style. I want to like the stories, but I just can't get passed how they are written.

The 'Secret History' by Donna Tartt is amazing. Could not put that book down. And 'persuasion' is great too.

I think these are just ones I haven't really thought about reading rather than definitely wouldn't.

a prayer for owen meany is my favorite book.

most people haven't heard of it, though it has come up more often these days than when i first read it.
