I'm presently listening to Radio 4 and the Now show has just come on. this show is always crap but they have just irritated me even more than usual but doing a really lame joke about bird flu featuring Swan Lake. Note to Messrs Punt and Dennis

I have given up on trying to talk sense to the general public - although I did snaffle this icon from the teeshirt site linked to Geoffrey Chaucer's blog, which soothed my soul somewhat.

Did you catch programme about The Last Supper, on BBC 2 on Thursday? I missed it but I understand that Mr Brown's (or should that be Mrs Brown's) reading of the painting was taken to pieces. The assertion that Beloved Disciple figure is a women has always struck me as being unconvincing. There are any number of renaissance and earlier paintings with idealized portrayals of young men making them look feminine.

I honestly thought that 'The Dying Swan' was in 'Swan Lake, and don't wish to remain in ignorance.
Which ballet does feature this piece of work, if I may ask?

Your LJ is really quite culturally educational, you know. I do hope that the Arts Council will see to it that you get sufficient funding to support your work in bringing culture to the masses - especially me!
