Sounds like an excellent collection of reasons! So glad that your health is improving and it was a miracle that you didn't get wet at the Chelsea Flower Show! Did you get trampled by the crowds?

And yes, I will sit through 2+ hours of trash for Paul Bettany....

Thank you. Every time it rained, we were already under cover, so we were very lucky. At the time we arrived at the show, the usual queuing system for the show gardens at the Embankment end had not been put into operatio, so it was every man for himself. This was most unsatisfactory, as, even if one could get to the front, it was impossible to see the whole of any garden. I was buffetted, particularly by one very aggressive man taking photographs. By mid-morning, the queues were in operation.
Especially an almost naked Paul ;) Did you see him on Jonathan Ross the other day?

I did. He did very well as Jonathan otherwise tends to completely dominate proceedings with most guests. Paul has a delightfully dry and quirky sense of humour.

Good to hear your blood count is back to normal.

I've never been to the Chelsea Flower Show. I thought of it, but I was too busy this year. You were very lucky not to get soaked.

We're going to see the Da Vinci Code sometime soon. Minto took his mother, and he says it's a very good film, but I haven't heard anyone else who thought so.

Thank you.
We were very lucky indeed. There were several showers but they all occured whilst we were under cover. Have you ever been to the Hampton Court Garden Show? this year it's on during the week commencing 3rd July. It's a less intense experience than the Chelsea show, not least because there is more space to move around.
I'm afraid that I didn't think very much of the film but then I thought the book was rubbish too. However, it is always a pleasure to see Serena and Paul.

No. I've never been to the Hampton Court Garden Show. I might go, depending on whether I'm working. I'll have more time by then, my course will be over apart from finishing the last few case studies.

It's certainly worth a visit. As well as the horticultural exhibits, there is a craft pavillion.
