Oh, how I envy you, Jocasta! When I finally go there myself, which bit do I need to stay in to see all the interesting bits, or at least, most of them?
Does the cuisine, climate and architecture vary in the regions? Which places are best for what?
My readings of Kipling have convinced me that the plains are oppressively hot in summer unless one stays in an air conditioned hotel, but hopefully, if one chooses the right time and place, one can enjoy a visit to this vast and different place in reasonable comfort.
