Hope you all have a Hoopy New Year. (Yep, Hitchikers fan to the end) Gee I miss Douglas's books. Thanks to David Russell I think I have a copy of them all and no-one writes like Douglas Adams. 20 years already? Yes, that does make me feel old. Seems like it couldn't be more than a couple of years since I was lying on my parents' loungeroom floor taping it on the VCR.

I am finally replacing my off air VHS copies with computer files. It was a christmas present of mp4s. Still they are time shift recordings i am going to watch later. (Copyright notice)

When I got the drive I plugged it in and tried out the re-mastered pilot. Got sucked in and watched it all the way to the end! The toned down "If I am going to die, I am taking you bastards with me", but it is still there as is "tell the Vorlons to get stuffed" two of my favourite moments which really emphasise this is not the Star Trek universe. I have a commercial copy of the original pilot, with the different music and edit--I will make a back up copy of that soon (Copyright notice)
