We got a new range on Saturday. Until about a week ago I didn't even know that the appliance which combines burners and an oven was called a range rather than a stove. It is gas and the burners light of their own accord when you turn the knob to "light." The oven turns on and stays on. And there is an oven light. The broiler is in the oven, so
