My Video Voiceover Demo

Aug 20, 2009 22:54

Thought you guys might get a kick out of this.  It's put together by My Next Demo, a company run by a friend of mine and a fellow voice actor named Jason LeBlanc.   Let me know what you think.  Seems a different way to spread the word about my voiceover stuff.  And it certainly fits the theme of my website. ;)

Hee! That's kinda the idea. If you look at my voiceover website (www.voiceoversandvocals.com) , you'll see that the theme matches pretty closely.

Love the cake theme and the idea - go for it! Nitpick: The "clicking all the time" bit is early and really annoying; it could drive people away from listening to the rest. OK if moved to late in the demo.

Hi Jane. :) I realize that the first spot on my commercial demo isn't for everyone - but when it comes to demos, grabbing them with something outrageous right from the start is the way to go. You only get a few seconds to intrigue someone enough to listen to more - and I've heard from many people (not the least of which was the very successful voice actor who directed me on that spot) that the clicking spot is - whether annoying or simply surprising - enough to make the person listening wonder what *else* I'm going to do and keep listening. ;) That's good enough for me.

Yeah, it's a weird business. But I won't get anywhere by having my demo sound like everyone ELSE'S demo. ;)

Thanks for having a listen/look though! :)
