Wow.  It's been a while since I've posted.  Thought I'd give folks a bit of an update on what's been going on with me.  First off, I attended the Voice 2010 conference in L.A. - a conference specifically put on for voice over folks at all levels of their development.  It was an amazing time.  Truly fantastic.  But while I enjoyed all the workshops ( Read more... )

My experience of Vistek is that they're good people as well as having a classy toy store.

I bought a lens there last October and mentioned to the salesperson that it was sort of a replacement for an old one that didn't work with my newer camera body. He made some reasonable suggestions about how the old lens might be made to work. In the end, it didn't help, but I was impressed that he knew enough to take a decent shot at it, and that he would spend the time for equipment that I specifically told him hadn't been purchased there.

Glad to hear you've got some good things going on!

Thanks, Phil! I'm glad you had a good experience with Vistek. The fellow representing them in the studio with me that day was really great too.

I'm still dithering about whether to go to OVFF, but Urban Tapestry's presence as GoH is a very strong supporting argument!

Oooh I had not realised you had a newsletter so I have now signed up. I am no UT but I do love it when a song comes into my head! I am really keen to develop my songwriting and my voice (not simply to sing with it)

Great to hear your news! Sounds like a really interesting event.
