 I seriously appreciate my Toronto voice over agent.  I've had a bunch of auditions and jobs lately - auditions for jobs and then JOBS that I *didn't* have to audition for.  It's fantastic to actually be told "can you be here at this time for this job?" when the client chose me from my demo on their website and nothing else was required on my part

Thanks, Judith. :) It's actually kind of fun to go in and winging it. Obviously, sometimes that can really backfire. ;) But for the most part, the client already knows what they want - and if I get too into my OWN interpretation, it can get in the way of theirs. So I find that going in there with the script still a new thing to me, I haven't formed any particular attachments (or "habits") in the way I want to do things and I'm more malleable. Ultimately, that serves the client better - and as much as this is a profession of performance, it's very much *also* a profession that requires a great deal of customer service. To be truly successful, one has to wear a lot of hats. I think that's a lot of what I find really rewarding about it, actually. It's amazing how many different portions of my previous job history have come into play in my voice over career... I'm now even telling other voice actors what I learned about website promotion over my 12 years in that business... Everything I've done before this has prepared me for
