I don't remember if I mentioned it in a previous post, but our basement leaks ... and it's carpeted.  The carpet is soggy most of the time (it seems to rain a lot here) and it'll cost thousands to fix --- which we don't have because I don't have a job.  Anyway, the carpet stays damp and today, I noticed in the corner where the dog cage is, as I was

We had to move out of our last house due to mold. We were constantly sick. Also with your health problems makes me wonder if it is not mold related. I saw something similiar happen to someone else on one of those news shows.

Mold stuff

I've wondered about the mold situation and my health as well. While I'm home, I'm going to rip out the carpet and old, moldy wood and replace them. My daddy was a builder and I learned a little from him, but I'm no expert on home repair. Of course, I don't think I can make it any worse by getting that soggy carpet out of here. It's rained since and hasn't gotten as wet, but before, it was squishy when we walked on it. Joel's work friends said they'd come work on it too one weekend so when I have the money, I'll get them out here. It's pretty gross right now, though.
