I haven't posted since 1/1/14 and I haven't read my friends page in months, which I feel really badly about.  Part of the problem, which I'm rediscovering today, is that my friends feed only shows me the last two weeks of posts and then it jumps to one post from August 2013 and then tells me there's nothing more to show.  So if I want to catch up,

Happy new year! Any books you'd particularly recommend?

I definitely recommend The Strain trilogy, if you like vampires (scary, not sexy) and end of the world scenarios. Of all the crime fiction I've consumed, I'm partial to the series by Jo Nesbo. Other favorites include The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt and Room by Emma Donoghue. Also, I just finished, and LOVED, Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mandel - highly recommend!
