I've just reported this to LJ Abuse. The spam in and of itself doesn't concern me as much as the fact that this appears to be a security violation of the accounts of two innocent parties. A couple of months ago my MySpace account survived a hijacking attempt, but Danielle's didn't, so she had to create a whole new profile while her old one sits there being used for God knows what. And interestingly, when something like this happens at MySpace, there's apparently not a goddamned thing you can do about it.
I've been spammed in the past, but it looked more like they created bogus accounts to do it rather than highjack dormant accounts. But this was several years ago too.
