Worst case, the forensics people for King and Pierce counties are usually hiring and they love people who can do PCR reactions. I've heard that the work environment is a little high-stress though.
Alternate last resort: TA (any place that doesn't have a graduate program). But not recommended unless you are going on to graduate school, since it won't help you land a real job.

I feel the job hunt problems. I'm thinking of relocating soon as well. Olympia just isn't the town for me either.
