Yeah, I've noticed that too. I think it's because upper crust english accent sounds really...diabolical when saying certain things.

That is probably so. Did you notice that you don't hear very many Scotsmen being villains? Sean Biggerstaff is from my hometown, but can you imagine him in the role of Tom Riddle? I guess our dialect just isn't scary enough.

I never noticed that.

I do know when any one says anything about Indiana because it is just a bunch of cornfields with hicks who play basketball.

I don't think I've ever heard the Indiana accent before? Can you name an actor/actress from there so I might listen for their accent. I never thought of you Indianians as Hicks, but I've not visited there when I crossed the pond.

Michael Jackson is from the grand old Indiana. I don't think he has the accent.

The accent is southern and midwestern put together to sound like you don't have any education. NOT everyone has this accent but there are parts of Indiana that do. If you live in a city you don't tend to have the Hoosier accent.

You should visit here, if you haven't before, . I don't think they have one for Scotland but there is one for Britain and London. If you read the one for Indiana it kind of describes our funny habits and they tend to be mostly true.
